June 7, 2022
Featuring six projects and their experiences in DPP

In an effort to support future applicants to NAMA Facility funding and throughout the project cycle, the NAMA Facility has released a special feature story “Spotlight on the Detailed Preparation Phase (DPP): what it takes to craft a detailed project proposal”

The feature piece draws upon the experience and learnings of six NAMA Support Projects across regions and sectors that have undergone or remain in this pre-implementation phase of project development, known as the Detailed Preparation Phase (DPP). In DPP, projects receive funding to prepare a comprehensive project proposal that will enable projects to meet their desired objectives during implementation and foster carbon-neutral development through sector-specific solutions.

Topics covered include:

  • The NAMA Facility’s Project Cycle
  • A Closer Look to the Detailed Preparation Phase (DPP)
  • Assessment Criteria
  • What does it take to craft a Detailed Project Proposal (DPP)?
  • Support and Guidance for Applicants by TSU
  • Potential Challenges for Applicants
  • Successes and Spill-over Effects of DPP

While the document can help contribute to overall efforts to capture and share lessons learnt from the NAMA Facility project portfolio, Applicants should continue to refer to the ‘General Information Document (GID)‘ for their respective call or contact the Technical Support Unit directly to obtain general information and guidance.
